If there are parts of the terms of trade that you do not understand, we recommend that you contact us before you start shopping on the website.
These terms apply when you order or purchase products from this website. The terms of trade may be updated from time to time (for example, to reflect changes in technology, our business model, our system capacity, or relevant laws and regulations), and we therefore ask you to accept them each time you shop with us. Any reference to "you" or "your" means you as the user of this website, any reference to "we", "us" or "our" means Boutique Bolou.
If you do not accept the terms of trade, you cannot order or purchase products on this website.
You must be 18 years old and legally competent to shop on the website.
The Sale of Goods Act's rules on defects apply to your purchase, which means you have certain statutory guarantees for the conformity of the goods.
2.0 Ordering
The online store is open 24 hours a day, but may be closed due to maintenance. We try as far as possible to carry out such maintenance during night hours.
An order placed on a public holiday will be processed on the following working day.
You can place an order by following these steps:
- Select product(s) and "Add to cart".
- Log in or enter personal information, select your preferred payment method. Before clicking "Proceed to secure payment", you must read and accept our terms of trade by checking the box.
- Enter relevant payment method details to secure your order.
After the order is placed, you will receive an email from Boutique Bolou, summarizing the order content and confirming that the order has been received. This email does not constitute an order confirmation, and a binding agreement has not yet been entered into when you receive this email. We confirm the order either by shipping the products to the address we have been given or by sending an email confirming that the goods have been shipped. A binding agreement has not been entered into, and we are thus not bound by your order until we have confirmed the order.
Payment will be processed after the item has been shipped.
We can only fulfill your order if the delivery address is a private or business address in Denmark. We do not deliver to PO boxes.
We reserve the right to cancel the purchase agreement in one of the following situations, without being liable for compensation or other costs:
- Your payment information is incorrect or cannot be verified
- Your order has been placed with the intent to commit fraud etc. or placed in connection with a criminal act or other illegal activity
- An accidental error occurs on the website, e.g. a payment error or similar.
- We have reason to believe that you are under 18 years old
Agreements can only be concluded via the website, email, or telephone to our customer support.
AT WHAT POINT IN THE ORDERING PROCESS ARE YOU BOUND BY YOUR ORDER?
Before placing the order, you have the opportunity to change the information you have entered, including delivery and billing information or payment information. You also have the option to change items or remove items from your shopping cart.
When you click "Buy and pay", a receipt will appear on your screen. From that moment, you are bound by your offer to purchase. We are only bound, and a final agreement is only concluded, when we have sent you a final order confirmation, as described above.
Please contact our customer support if you made a mistake when placing the order - we are ready to help you.
After the agreement is concluded, the rules on the right of withdrawal apply, see point 3 below.
2.1 Language of the Agreement
The agreement can only be concluded in Danish.
2.2 Access to the Agreement
You will receive an email confirmation of the content of the agreement and a copy of these Terms. We store concluded agreements, including the order confirmation, for a certain period, but we recommend that you also save these documents, as they may not subsequently be available on the Website or with us otherwise.
2.3 Anti-Fraud Measures
To protect you and our other customers against fraud and to maintain a high level of security for online purchases, we may carry out verification checks. The verification check may include the data you submit when ordering on the Website, including your address and payment information.
2.4 Prices and Delivery
All stated prices for goods, delivery costs and other costs include taxes, VAT and duties.
2.5 Free Shipping
We normally deliver free of charge within 2-7 working days throughout Denmark for orders placed before 12 PM on weekdays. We use FEDEX for parcel boxes (Delivery is free for pickup at Boutique Bolou in Charlottenlund).
If you order multiple items where one or more are out of stock, we will partially deliver the available products and inform you by email about the delivery window for the remaining products.
We take every care to protect your products during transit. However, if damage has occurred before you receive the products, please contact our customer support to arrange a replacement of the damaged products. If the goods are damaged during transit, you can return the jewelry, after which we will replace the damaged products.
If the package is not collected by you, and therefore a fee is incurred, you are responsible for the additional costs, and you will be charged our costs and expenses associated therewith. This includes freight costs, extra payments, duties, taxes, prepayment fees to our shipping provider, return costs, extra fees/duties, etc.
Please note that the risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to you upon delivery. If the package appears to be damaged or torn open, you should refuse to accept the products. If you wish to complain about non-conformity, you must notify us. Please read more under "Defective and incorrect goods".
We reserve the right to change prices and are not liable for any typographical errors, sold-out items, and price changes.
2.6 Currency
You can pay in DKK on the website.
2.7 Track Your Order and View History
When you order on our website, you will receive a tracking number and link in a separate email to track your order via our courier's websites.
3.0 Right of Withdrawal
On www.bolou.dk, you have a 14-day full right of withdrawal from the day you receive the item. Please note that we do not cover the costs of return as a result of your withdrawal. We emphasize that you cannot return your Boutique Bolou products to parcel boxes.
However, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the delivery of goods manufactured according to your specifications or given a clear personal touch.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us (see contact information at the top of the document) of your decision to withdraw from this agreement in an unequivocal statement (e.g. by letter sent by post or e-mail). You can use the standard withdrawal form in Annex 3 to the Consumer Contracts Act, which can be found on the following website https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2013/1457, or you can fill in and send our standard withdrawal form by post or email, which you can find here, but it is not mandatory.
The withdrawal period is complied with if you send your notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
You must return the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which you informed us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal. The deadline is met if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.
You must bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
Follow this procedure for returning/exchanging an order:
- Notify us that you wish to withdraw from the agreement as described above.
- Ensure the jewelry is securely packed in its original box and packaging.
- Return the item to:
Bolou
Trunnevangen 2 Stalden,
2920 Charlottenlund
Denmark
You can also return the goods in the store if you show the invoice you received when you bought the jewelry.
You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods caused by handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. As a general rule, products should always be returned in their original packaging, as otherwise they lose part of their value. If there are signs that the jewelry has been used to an extent beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, thereby reducing the product's value, we will offset the lost value against the amount we refund to you.
3.1 Refund
If you exercise your right of withdrawal from this agreement, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (but not additional costs resulting from your own choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method we offer), without undue delay and in any case no later than 14 days from the date on which we have received notice of your decision to withdraw from this agreement. We will carry out such a refund using the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any case, you will not be charged any fees as a result of the refund.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided documentation that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.
4.0 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Dankort
- EuroCard/Mastercard
- Visa Electron
- Mastercard Debit
- MobilePay
We do not accept other payment methods.
4.1 Security Code (CVV)
If you pay by credit card, you will be asked to enter the card's security code. You will find the three security digits on the back of your credit card, most often on the right side of the back of the credit card. The security digits are necessary for the payment to be processed and to maintain a high level of security. There may also be other similar security measures.
4.2 Payment Procedure
When your item leaves our warehouse for delivery, your payment will be debited from the chosen payment service.
5.0 Defective and Incorrect Goods
You have a two-year right to claim for defective goods in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act. We recommend that you keep your receipt to prove that your claim is made within the 2-year period. If your item has a defect, or we have delivered incorrect goods, please contact our customer support. You are not responsible for costs associated with returning defective or incorrect products. If you can already detect defects or incorrect goods at the time of delivery, you should refuse to accept the package.
In the event of a defective item or incorrect item, you can choose between the following options:
- Return the goods and receive a refund of the purchase price once we have processed the returned products,
- Return the goods and receive similar products once we have processed the returned products (however, we may refuse to redeliver similar products if such redelivery is impossible or would incur disproportionate costs),
- Allow us to attempt to remedy the defect by repairing the item (however, we may refuse to remedy if remediation is impossible or would incur disproportionate costs), or
- Keep the goods and if the value of the products is less than the originally ordered goods, you will receive a discount for the price difference.
When contacting customer service, please state your order number. In addition, please describe what is wrong with the products and attach a picture of the defect with a file size of less than 1 megabyte for us to process your claim.
6.0 User Account
To prevent unauthorized access to your Boutique Bolou user account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You accept responsibility for all events that may occur under your account.
Take all necessary steps to ensure that your password remains confidential and secure. You should inform Boutique Bolou if there is any reason to believe that your password has become known to others, or if the password is or is likely to be used in an unauthorized manner.

7.1 Website Updates
We do our best to update the website and ensure that prices, offers, descriptions, and other information about the products are correct. However, typographical errors, errors in prices, descriptions, and other information about the goods may occur.
7.2 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to fulfill our obligations under the terms of trade if the delay or failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.
7.3 Entire Agreement
These terms of trade constitute the complete terms of the agreement between us.
7.4 Invalidity
Should one or more of the provisions in the terms of trade be declared wholly or partially invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.
