If there are parts of the terms and conditions that you do not understand, we recommend that you contact us before you start shopping on the website.

These terms apply when you order or purchase products from this website. The terms and conditions may be updated from time to time (for example, to reflect changes in technology, our business model, our system capacity or relevant laws and regulations) and we therefore ask that you accept them each time you do business with us. Any reference to "you" or "your" means you as a user of this website, any reference to "we", "us" or "our" means Boutique Bolou.

If you do not accept the terms and conditions, you cannot order or purchase products on this website.

You must be 18 years of age and of legal age to shop on the website.

The rules of the Danish Sales Act on defects apply to your purchase, which means that you have certain statutory guarantees for the contractual conformity of the goods.

2.0 Order

The online store is open 24 hours a day, but may be closed for maintenance. We try to perform such maintenance during night hours whenever possible.

An order placed on a public holiday or weekend will be processed the following business day.

You can place an order by performing the following steps:

  • Select product(s) and "Add to Cart".
  • Log in or enter personal information, select your preferred payment method. Before clicking "Proceed to secure payment", you must read and accept our terms and conditions by checking the box.
  • Enter relevant payment method details to secure your order.

After the order has been placed, you will receive an email from Boutique Bolou summarizing the order content and confirming that the order has been received. This email does not constitute an order confirmation, and no binding agreement has yet been entered into when you receive this email. We confirm the order either by sending the products to the address we have been informed of or by sending an email confirming that the goods have been sent. No binding agreement has been entered into, and we are therefore not obligated by your order until we have confirmed the order.
Payment will be processed after the item has been shipped.

We can only fulfill your order if the delivery address is a private or business address in Denmark. We do not deliver to PO boxes.

We reserve the right to cancel the purchase agreement in any of the following situations, without being liable for compensation or other costs:

  • Your payment information is incorrect or cannot be verified.
  • Your order has been placed with the intention of committing fraud, etc. or has been placed in connection with a criminal act or other illegal activity.
  • An unintentional error occurs on the website, e.g. a payment error or similar.
  • We have reason to believe that you are under 18 years of age.

Agreements can only be made via the website, email or telephone to our customer support.

AT WHAT POINT IN THE ORDERING PROCESS ARE YOU BOUND BY YOUR ORDER?

Before placing your order, you have the option to change the information you have entered, including delivery and invoice information or payment information. You also have the option to change the items or remove items from your shopping cart.

When you click "Buy and pay", a receipt will appear on your screen. From that point on, you are bound by your offer to purchase. We are only bound, and a final agreement has only been entered into, when we have sent you a final order confirmation, as described above.

Please contact our customer support if you made a mistake when placing your order - we are ready to help you.

After the agreement has been concluded, the rules on the right of withdrawal apply, see below in point 3.

2.1 Language of the Agreement

The agreement can only be concluded in Danish.

2.2 Access to the agreement

You will receive a confirmation of the content of the agreement and a copy of these Terms and Conditions by e-mail. We store concluded agreements, including the order confirmation, for a certain period of time, but we recommend that you also save these documents, as they will not necessarily be subsequently available on the Website or with us in general.

2.3 Anti-fraud measures

In order to protect you and our other customers from fraud and maintain a high level of security for online purchases, we may conduct verification checks. The verification check may include the data that you submit when you order on the Website, including your address and payment information.

2.4 Prices and delivery

All prices listed for goods, delivery costs and other costs are inclusive of taxes, VAT and duties.

2.5 Free delivery

We deliver free of charge, usually within 2-7 business days throughout Denmark when ordered before 12 noon on weekdays. We use FEDEX for parcel boxes (Delivery is free when picked up at Boutique Bolou in Charlottenlund).

If you order multiple items where one or more are out of stock, we will partially deliver the available products and inform you via email about the delivery window for the remaining products.

We take every care to protect your products during transit. However, if damage occurs before you receive the products, please contact our customer support to arrange a replacement of the damaged products. If the items are damaged during transit, you can return the jewelry and we will replace the damaged products.

If the package is not picked up by you and a fee is therefore imposed, you are responsible for the additional costs and you will be charged our costs and expenses associated with this. This includes shipping costs, additional payments, duties, taxes, fees for prepayment to our shipping provider, return costs, additional fees/charges, etc.

Please note that the risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you upon delivery. If the package appears damaged or torn, you should refuse to accept the products. If you wish to complain about non-conformity, please let us know. Please read more under "Defective and incorrect goods".

We reserve the right to change prices and make reservations for any printing errors, sold-out items and price changes.

2.6 Currency

You can pay in DKK on the website.

2.7 Track your order and view history

When you order on our website, you will receive a tracking number and link in a separate email to track your order via our couriers' websites.

3.0 Right of withdrawal

At www.bolou.dk you have 14 days full right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods. Please note that we do not cover the costs of returning as a result of your withdrawal. We would like to point out that you cannot return your Boutique Bolou products to parcel boxes.

However, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the delivery of goods that have been manufactured to your specifications or have been given a clearly personal touch.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (see contact details at the top of the document) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. by post or e-mail). You can use the standard withdrawal form in Annex 3 to the Consumer Contracts Act, which can be found on the following website https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2013/1457 , or you can fill in and send our standard withdrawal form by post or e-mail, which you can find here , but this is not mandatory.

The withdrawal period is met if you send your notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

You must return the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which you informed us of your exercise of the right of withdrawal from the contract. The deadline is met if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.

You must bear the direct costs associated with returning the goods.

Follow this procedure when returning/exchange an order:

  1. Notify us that you regret the agreement as described above.
  2. Make sure the jewelry is packed securely and in its original box and packaging.
  3. Return the item to:

Boutique Bolou

Jaegersborg All 25

2920 Charlottenlund

Denmark

You can also return the goods in store if you present the invoice you received when you purchased the jewelry.

You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods caused by handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. As a general rule, products should always be returned in their original packaging, as otherwise they will lose some of their value. If there is evidence that the jewellery has been used to an extent beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, which reduces the value of the product, we will offset the lost value from the amount we refund to you.

3.1 Refund

If you exercise your right of withdrawal under this Agreement, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the date on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this Agreement. We will make such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not be charged any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided documentation of having returned the goods, whichever is the earliest.

4.0 Payment methods
We accept the following payment methods:

  • Dankort
  • EuroCard/Mastercard
  • Visa Electron
  • Mastercard Debit
  • MobilePay

We do not accept other payment methods.

4.1 Verification digits (CVV)

If you pay by credit card, you will be asked to enter the card's verification numbers. You will find the three verification numbers on the back of your credit card, usually on the right side of the back of the credit card. The verification numbers are necessary for the payment to be completed and to maintain a high level of security. There may also be other similar security measures.

4.2 Payment procedure

When your item leaves our warehouse for delivery, your payment will be charged to your chosen payment service.

5.0 Defective and incorrect goods
You have a two-year right of complaint for defective goods according to the Danish Sales Act. We recommend that you keep your receipt to prove that your complaint is made within the 2-year period. If your item is defective or we have delivered incorrect goods, please contact our customer support. You are not responsible for costs associated with returning defective or incorrect products. If you can already detect defects or incorrect goods at the time of delivery, you should refuse to receive the package.

In the event of a defective item or incorrect item, you can choose between the following options:

  • Return the goods and get a refund of the purchase price once we have processed the returned products,
  • Return the goods and receive similar products once we have processed the returned products (however, we may refuse to re-deliver similar products if such re-delivery is impossible or would incur disproportionate costs for us),
  • Let us try to remedy the defect by repairing the goods (however, we may refuse remedy if remedy is impossible or would cause us disproportionate costs), or
  • Keep the goods and if the value of the products is less than the originally ordered goods, you will receive a discount for the price difference.

When contacting customer service, please provide your order number. In addition, please describe what is wrong with the products and attach a picture of the error with a file size of less than 1 megabyte in order for us to process your complaint.

6.0 User Account
To prevent unauthorized access to your Boutique Bolou user account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You accept responsibility for all incidents that may occur under your account.

Take all necessary steps to ensure that your password remains confidential and secure. You should inform Boutique Bolou if there is any reason to believe that your password has become known to others or if the password is or is likely to be used in an unauthorized manner.

7.1 Updating the website

7.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under the Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.

7.3 Completeness of the Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the complete terms of the agreement between us.

7.4 Invalidity

If one or more of the provisions of the terms and conditions are declared wholly or partially invalid, the other provisions will continue to apply.
